The 3 MusCATeers

A friend of mine asked me to paint 3 cats for him as a gift for his friend and I must say it was a challenge and loads of fun.  Here they are, acrylic on canvas, The 3 MusCATeers.....

These are sketches and paintings done in 2010 - May you enjoy and be blessed :)

1.
Acrylic paint on Canvas
"The Watchman on the Tower"
This was my dedication painting to our King Yeshua, my first fruit offering.  I chose this theme as I know that as called out ones, we are to stand and watch with the cloud of witnesses above.  I ended up painting two clouds which in the end represent the Torah of Moshe and the Spirit of Elijah.  The Hebrew writing on the scroll is Ezekiel 37 when Yahweh/God Almighty would bring the two houses of Ephrahim and Judah back together again.  The Shofar/Trumpet he is blowing is to sound the Alarm - Joel chapter 2 - Glory be to the King of Kings!

2.
Acrylic paint on canvas
'Yeshua/Jesus the Light of the World'

3.
Pencil Sketch on Paper
"Lion Cub watching you"

4.

Lamp - Poem by Charlie Hall

The flowers will fade in their beauty
But Your word travels, faithful and true
My hands on the pulse, I am listening
And the words come to life and the bloom

Ooh, Your word is a lamp to my path
Ooh, Your word is a lamp to my path

Let the power of Your words dwell here richly
Changing the ways that I see
Fill me with otherly wisdom
Plant me deep like a tree by the stream

Ooh, Your word is a lamp to my path
Ooh, Your word is a lamp to my path

I don't put my hope in my wishes
I hang on Your promises true
Your word's like a sword searching all of my heart
Dividing the lies from the truth

Ooh, Your word is a lamp to my path
Ooh, Your word is a lamp to my path
Ooh, Your word is a lamp to my path
Ooh, Your word is a lamp to my path

A smile by an unknown Author

A smile costs nothing, but gives much-
It takes but a moment, but the memory of it usually lasts forever.
None are so rich that can get along without it-
And none are so poor but that can be made rich by it.
It enriches those who receive, without making poor those who give-
It creates sunshine in the home,
Fosters good will in business,
And is the best antidote for trouble-
And yet it cannot be begged, borrowed, or stolen, for it is of no value
Unless it is given away.
Some people are too busy to give you a smile-
Give them one of yours-
For the good Lord knows that no one needs a smile so badly
As he or she who has no more smiles left to give.

All I had to do was believe - Poem by Janine Bouwer - 06th April 2011

When I looked at the stained guilt on my hands of wrong choices made,
The wounds embedded in my heart with all joy that did fade,
The stain of tears leaving a trail on my face,
Would this darkness and loneliness be my eternal place?

In my mind I could see no way out and it was only darkness all around,
No one could hear the silent scream echoing in this heart that was bound,
The pain hidden behind a smile and a daily lie is all I could give,
Until the day He showed up and all I had to do was believe.

I felt a gentle touch on my back with peace that melted all over me,
Another gentle hand lifted my chin to look up so that I could see,
I couldn’t see His face at first as the tears flooded my eyes,
Until He gently wiped them away and I was left with this surprise.

I know those scars in those hands I thought,
I have heard of them somewhere not long ago,
But where, was it a dream, my childhood, I couldn’t remember,
It burned in me to know.

His gentle smile shone with brilliance, I could have been blinded,
His eyes pierced my being as if He could see everything behind me,
The love that poured out of Him could not be explained or compared,
All I knew it was love I wanted and a love I wanted to share.

What have I done, I cried out to Him,
I have walked my own path with drink, drugs, partying and friends,
Where are they?  Why am I so empty I sobbed,
Is this my end?  Is this why I am here, my purpose, I have been robbed!

He spoke and His voice stirred the universe and I was made still,
The scars you see I paid your price so that you could live,
I gave Myself for you so that you could know My joy, My love,
My Name is Yahshua/Jesus with you here from above.

I made you for a purpose to have fellowship with Me,
To live eternally where no pain and suffering could ever be,
For now you will have to endure but My peace I leave with you,
All you have to do is believe in Me and My Word which is true.

I felt loving arms engulf me as I said I do, I believe,
All my guilt and shame lifted and my hands were made clean,
Joy filled me like I have never felt before,
Thank you for opening up for Me when I came to knock on your door.

Set your heart to a path and don't move from it – 13th Feb 2011

Shalom family,

Today, reading through the life story of the famous musician Bach, I was excited to have received the following revelation in my spirit.  I would love to share it with you and may it encourage you as it has me :)  Thank You Yahweh for encouraging us to persue you :)

The red writing below was taken from the following link - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Johann_Sebastian_Bach

1.
Each and every individual has a unique calling in the Kingdom, to be the hands or the feet etc.  We have each been given talents and abilities to be used by the King for His Glory.  As I looked at Bach's life, he was 1. nurtured in his talents from a young age and 2. he went to great lengths to reach his goal and desired ability in music, even if that meant walking miles and miles....

From link - This well-known incident in Bach's life involved his walking some 400 kilometres (250 mi) each way to spend time with the man he probably regarded as the father figure of German organists. The trip reinforced Buxtehude's style as a foundation for Bach's earlier works, and that he overstayed his planned visit by several months suggests that his time with the old man was of great value to his art.

2.
There is always a new chapter in your life and Yahweh (God) will move you on to get you to the prefered destination in His Kingdom.  Don't look at the obstacles and struggles, push through.  Don't let anyone surpress the person you are inside nor your talents, Yahweh has a purpose for you.

From link - Despite his comfortable position in Arnstadt, by 1706 Bach appeared to have realised that he needed to escape from the family milieu and move on to further his career. He was offered a more lucrative post as organist at St. Blasius's in Mühlhausen, a large and important city to the north.

3.
Learn from others who are in the same field, you can only grow more.

From the music of Italians such as Vivaldi, Corelli and Torelli, he learned how to write dramatic openings and adopted their sunny dispositions, dynamic motor-rhythms and decisive harmonic schemes.

4.
Don't become disheartened at the length of time it takes you to get to your desired destination.  Life is all about learning and becoming better at it.  If you give up you will never know what you could have become!

YAHWEH IS CLOSEST IN THE MOST DIFFICULT TIMES, WALKING WITH YAHWEH IN THE DESERT - 9 Jan 2011

Dear beloved Brothers and Sisters in the faith,

THE FATHER LOVES YOU SO MUCH and He knows every need, every desire, everything you feel and think.

The Father has laid on my heart that many of us are experiencing a harsh desert situation and I am lead to write this poem.  Please be encouraged and be blessed and know that your King is with you J

The heat of the sun is beating down upon my head,
Where is the comfort of the shade of a tree, only drops of sweat I feel instead,
The hard rock of discomfort underneath me,
Looking left and right with desert sand beneath me.

Why do I feel so empty and why do I see no oasis,
My supplies have run low and water to be found there are no traces,
Which path do I take; from where have I come and where do I go?
The road seems too much to bear; any further effort from me is gone.

My breath heavy on my chest, my strength is no more,
With my head to my hands my tears fill my eyes,
My flesh wants to murmur and my soul anxious it cries,
All these facts that fill my mind.

I look up and with great delight,
I see the King of kings with a delightful smile,
His tender voice comforts me and says don’t worry, I am near,
That utterance of His voice made all the fear disappear.

His hand gently lifts my head and His body gives me shade,
I am with you on this journey, all you fear must fade,
I will provide you with all you need,
Don’t let what you feel and see blind the faith you need to believe.

I’m right at your side, so close I reside,
His Hand points the way in which I need to go,
He gives me bread to eat for the journey,
And says just over that hill is your victory I know.

Don’t give up and don’t give in,
Don’t listen to the voice of serpents that test you,
Don’t worry about the food and water,
 I have already blessed you.

Remember the words I gave you before your journey began,
Don’t look at the now but your victory resides in the end,
I have given you your weapons why have you left them behind?
Here they are again, don’t forget and don’t become blind.

Continue, I am with you in your desert experience…..
